Booking terms and conditions

How do I buy a ticket?

You can book your journey via the online booking platform up to two days before the scheduled departure. You will receive a ticket confirming that you have a seat, but you will not be allocated a specific seat.

We accept payment by Visa and Mastercard.

We currently only offer online bookings through our booking platform. You can book directly at the Customer Centre and pay by cash or contactless card.

Yes, you can buy seats for a single journey (outbound) directly from the bus driver, provided places are still available. However, we recommend that you book your ticket in advance online to be certain of a seat. Bus drivers can only accept contactless payment, via Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Apple Pay, Google Pay or other digital wallets.

Yes, children aged under 15 (up to and including their 15th birthday) get a discount on the ticket price. Please note that children are only permitted to travel when accompanied by an adult. Young people aged 15 and over may travel alone. However, parents and legal guardians must ensure that young people have with them all the documents and identity papers required to cross the border.

Yes, discounts are available for families. The family ticket is valid for up to five people. At least one adult (18 years or over) must travel on the family ticket; a maximum of two adults is permitted. This means that either one adult and up to four children (who have not yet reached their 18th birthday) or two adults and up to three children may travel on a family ticket.

No, unfortunately that is not possible.

Individuals with disabilities do not travel for free or receive a discount on the ticket price. This also applies to accompanying persons.

No, VMS fares and the DeutschlandTicket are not valid for PragBus journeys.

You may cancel your booking either online or at the VMS Customer Centre up to 30 days before your scheduled departure, subject to a cancellation fee of 10 euros. After this time, it not possible to cancel a journey that has already been booked and confirmed.

To cancel tickets purchased online, simply visit the booking platform and enter your ticket number. You will find the ticket number on your online ticket. After you have entered your ticket number, an email with a cancellation link will be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking. Click on the cancellation link to confirm the cancellation. You will then be sent a cancellation confirmation by email. A partial refund (billing amount minus cancellation fee) will be credited to the payment method you used to make the booking.

Tickets purchased at the VMS Customer Centre can be cancelled on presentation of your receipt and will be refunded via your original payment method. You will then receive a cancellation receipt.

Passengers are permitted to bring one piece of hand luggage (max. 42 x 30 x 18 cm and 7 kg) and one piece of hold luggage (max. 80 x 50 x 30 cm and 20 kg) free of charge. We cannot accommodate additional items of luggage. Pushchairs and wheelchairs can be carried if space is available; please let us know your requirements at the time of booking. Please note that we do not transport bicycles.

In order to ensure that passengers can board and alight quickly, bicycles are not permitted on this line.

We can carry maximum of two pushchairs and two folding wheelchairs on each service. It is essential that you notify us of your requirements when booking your ticket.

Animals are not permitted on board, except for guide dogs and assistance dogs. These must wear a guide dog harness and/or vest but are not required to wear a muzzle. One guide dog or assistance dog per person can travel free of charge.

No, there are no services between Chemnitz and Marienberg. PragBus only operates between Chemnitz and Prague and between Marienberg and Prague. For journeys within the network area, we recommend using regional transport (lines 206 and 207).

If you have booked a return ticket (outbound and return), you must make your return journey within 30 days of outward travel.

As a passenger, you are responsible for complying with entry and exit, passport, visa, customs, foreign exchange and health regulations when crossing the border to and from the Czech Republic. You must have the required documents with you throughout the journey and present them to the relevant authorities.

You are not permitted to consume food or drinks that could soil passenger clothing or vehicle fittings. Passengers are not permitted to consume alcohol during travel, and drivers are authorised to prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
