VMS is operating special transport services to the following events in the Capital of Culture year:
- 24 to 25 May 2025: 150th anniversary of the Flöhatalbahn (Flöha Valley Railway) (Flöha–Olbernhau, RB 81)
- 30 May to 1 June 2025: HUTFESTIVAL – the Chemnitz festival of street art
- 13 to 15 June 2025: KOSMOS Europe
- 26 to 29 June 2025: additional service for the Bergstadtfest Freiberg (Freiberg Mining Town Festival in Freiberg–Brand-Erbisdorf)
- Advent season 2025: additional services to Christmas markets on railway lines C11, C14 and RB 81 and bus route 526
